- What's this site all about?
I watch a lot of television, and rather than bore the people around me with my opinions and reactions to what I'm watching I set this site up as sort of an editorial outlet. It's really just for me to vent, but if people want to read it, that's cool. Usually the posts will be written with the assumption that the reader saw the show, though sometimes I may write up little summaries so I can remember a particular show. Also, I often type up my thoughts as sort of a running commentary while watching something, so there is likely to be a certain stream of consciousness feel to a lot of what I write.
- What makes a good show?
Generally, I look for good writing. Bad writing is the one thing I think can't be fixed. The best actor in the world will still put on a bad show without good material. This is probably why I'm not a big fan of reality TV since there is (theoretically) no writing involved.
- Wait a minute. No reality TV? What's all this Big Brother stuff?
That's the major exception to the reality TV rule, though not the only one. For some reason I get totally obsessed with BB every summer. Though, I'm starting to really believe the whole thing is scripted, so maybe my writing rule still applies. :)
- What's your spoiler policy?
If I know something, I feel free to mention it. So, if I heard a spoiler/rumour, it might come up. And once I've seen a show (I'm in the US/Eastern timezone) I may post about it; I'm not going to wait until all timezones have seen it. It's not as if I have some kind of inside connection to the TV industry, though. So if I know something, it's probably pretty widely known. And as far as BB, I'll talk about the live feeds, so I'll be way ahead of what's current on broadcast shows.

Maybe. Here's my take on it: The images and broadcasts are © CBS/Real Networks/etc. But there's some amount of art/creativity to screen capping, so my caps are © me. And in any case I'm certainly not making any money here, or depriving CBS/Real/whomever of any benefit of their material.
- So, can I copy your screen caps?
Sure, go for it.
If you re-post them I wouldn't mind an acknowledgement. And if you copy a lot of pics, or just enjoy the site, I'd love to hear from you.
Just please don't steal my text/commentary.
